Communication test in the foggy mountains
November in Tai'an, the mountains were lush and green but shrouded in thick fog. Dense forests, complex terrain, and low visibility have always been the "enemies" of wireless communication. But even in such harsh conditions, our self-organizing network equipment completed a hardcore test.
01 Test date: November 16, 2025
02 Test location: A forest protection station in Shandong Province, Tai'an Zulaishan Forest Farm Taipingding Scenic Area, Yuyang County Yezhuang Town Baishanzi
03 Test environment: Foggy, mountainous air-to-ground environment.

As a back-end command center for a forest protection station in Shandong Province, the equipment was set up on the roof of the terminal building, and relay points were set up in Taipingding Scenic Area of Zulaishan Forest Farm. At the front-end command center in Yuyang County Yezhuang Town Baishanzi, a self-organizing network base station was set up and a self-organizing network base station was set up on a tripod at the mountain top as a relay point. The test personnel set mobile device equipment on a helicopter and flew along the lower route. Test data

01 Video Transmission Test for Air-to-Ground Distance
The main frequency used is the central frequency of 1460 MHz; the auxiliary frequency is 1490 MHz; the bandwidth is 20 MHz. The test site is a forest protection station in Shandong Province, which serves as the rear-end command center. The equipment is set up on the roof of the airport terminal building, and relay points are set up at the Taiping Peak scenic area of Zulaishan Forest Farm. A self-organizing network base station is set up at the front-end command center in Yiyuan County, Yuzhuang Town, Baishanzi, and a self-organizing network base station is set up on a tripod at the mountain top as a relay point. The test personnel set up mobile terminal devices in the helicopter and flew along the route at an altitude of 700 meters, with thick fog.

02 Test Results
![]()
In the complex communication environment with dense surrounding forests, the self-organizing network equipment relies on high-altitude transmission to real-time transmit the helicopter operation footage to the front-end command center and the rear-end command center, achieving full-area real-time visual transmission of the helicopter operation footage with a communication distance of 96.3 kilometers.
These scenarios can all rely on it to "send signals"!
Aerial Forest Protection
During helicopter patrol and fire reconnaissance, the footage is transmitted in real time, enabling the command center to precisely dispatch firefighting forces.
Emergency Rescue
In deep mountains and geological disaster sites, a communication link is quickly established in an area without public network coverage to ensure the smooth two-way communication of rescue instructions and on-site footage.
Remote Command
Law enforcement inspections, major event security, mobile terminals are in real-time interaction with the command center to achieve "seeing and being able to control"
